Considering the widespread use of cyberspace and its potential consequences on identity development and adolescent behaviors, this study aimed to predict identity style and deviance based on the components of cyberspace addiction in adolescent girls. This correlational study employed a predictive design. The statistical population consisted of all female high school students in Tehran during the 2024-2025 academic year. A sample of 350 participants was selected through multi-stage cluster sampling from different districts of Tehran. Research instruments included the Mobile-Based Virtual Space Addiction Questionnaire (Khajeh Ahmadi et al., 2016), Berzonsky's Identity Style Inventory (ISI) (White et al., 1998), and the Adolescent Girls’ Deviance Questionnaire (Pour Ghazi et al., 2022). Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis in SPSS-28 software. The results indicated that the regression model for predicting the composite variable of identity style and deviance was significant. Among the components of cyberspace addiction, personal performance (β = 0.241, p < 0.01) and social relationships (β = 0.21, p < 0.01) were positive and significant predictors, while time management (β = -0.09, p < 0.05) was a negative and significant predictor of the criterion variable. The self-control component did not show a significant contribution (p > 0.05).
