The relationship between dimensions of Quality of Work Life and Organizational Climate with Organizational Citizenship Behavior in teachers

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the dimensions of quality of work life and organizational climate with organizational citizenship behavior among teachers. The research method was correlational and the statistical population included all teachers in Alborz. The sample consisted of 240 teachers (160 females and 80 males) who were selected by convenience sampling method. The research instruments were "Organizational Climate Questionnaire", "Work Life Quality Questionnaire" and Organizational Citizenship Behavior Questionnaire of  Padsakov et al ". Among the components of quality of work life, the variable of safe work environment was able to explain 0.073% of the variance related to altruism. The variables of safe working environment and fair payment were able to predict 0.054% of the variance related to conscientiousness in two steps. Legalism in the organization and fair payment were able to explain 0.045% of the variance related to tolerance. Social integration and cohesion in the organization were able to predict 0.086% of the variance related to the social etiquette variable. Also, the results of regression coefficient showed that among the components of the atmosphere, the organization of alien behavior of teachers was able to explain 19% of the variance related to altruism. The variables of teachers' alien behavior, teachers' professional behavior and teachers' alien behavior were able to predict 0.46% of the conscientious variance in three steps. Teachers' professional behavior, teachers' intimate behavior, and teachers' alien behavior were able to predict 22% of the variance of tolerance in three steps.
