Abstract
Abstract Introduction: The present research is performed in order to analyze the emotional intelligence and Personality Characteristics with general health of teacher students. Method: 60 teacher students from Farhangian university of Esfahan ( Shahid Rajaee) were randomly selected in order to measure the emotional intelligence and general health and their Personality Characteristics. They completed emotional intelligence (EIS) and general health (GHQ) questionnaire (Goldberg and Hillier, 1979) as well as personality questionnaire (Eysenck, 1985). Data analyzed by descriptive statistics methods and deductive statistics methods. Result: Research results showed there is a significant relationship between general health and emotional intelligence of teacher students. But there is no significant correlation between anxiety and sleep disorder and depression symptoms in Introverts and extroverts. Conclusion: Emotional intelligence is an important item to predict general health. Therefor emotional intelligence and ways to improve it should be studied.
