Purpose: This study is about The Effect of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Therapy on Mental Disorders Syndrome in Single girl students of Ahvaz Farhangian University. The method is a quasi-experimental study with pre-test, post-test and follow-up with the control group. The statistical population consists of Single girl students of Ahvaz Farhangian University in 2016. 100 single female students were selected and after testing those who scored higher on the SCL90-R Mental Disorders Questionnaire (n = 30), they were divided into experimental and control groups (n = 15 each). The experimental group received 8 sessions of 120 minutes of mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy. Both groups participated in pre-test, post-test and 3-month follow-up. Research Tools: Data analysis was done by SPSS 23 software using Mankova analysis method. Results: Mindfulness treatment reduced scores on mental disorders i.e. physical complaints, obsession, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, aggression, morbid fear, paranoid thoughts and psychosis at posttest and follow-up. (p<0/01)
Conclusion: Mindfulness therapy can be used to reduce the symptoms of psychiatric disorders in single female students.
